Prophetic Voice Title: We Should Not Ask God To Do For Us What He Wants To Do through Us
It is easier to have God do the work He is calling you to do. It is easy for us to ask the Lord to talk to that stubborn person. It is a easy way out, because we don’t have to be concern of being rejected. That reminds be of a time when Charles and I was visiting a church. The Pastor said, “Someone has a word for the church.” That someone was me. You would think there was glue stuck to my seat I couldn’t get up. I felt they wouldn’t receive it because they didn’t know me. After we left the church I cried and repented because I was not obedient to what the Lord wanted me to do. I said, “Lord, give me the boldness and have me know without a shadow of doubt that I am hearing from you.” A few months pass by, we were in another city; we visit a church and during the service a person stood up and spoke in tongues. The Lord said, “You have the interpretation, stand up and I will give you the interpretation.” With no hesitation I stood up and spoke. After I finished speaking the church was shouting Amen! The first church wanted me to give the word the second church was the interpretation. When we ask God to use us we should be ready and not ask God to do it for us.
SAINTS: It is important to be ready in season and out of season. Don’t ask the Lord to use you in ministry if you feel you will be rejected. The Lord will not ask His servants to do something for them to fail.
“My Dear Children ask and you shall receive. You receive when you are asking what you can do to farther My kingdom. If you ask so you can be glorified then you will be subject to failure.
I have true servants that are willing to go and do what I ask and follow My instructions. They are blessed beyond their imagination . I have others that want to be center of attraction. They do not care who gets hurt. They will say I told them to say this or that. Truthfully they are out of my will completely! What I want them to do and say is not what they want to do. And they are the first ones to ask Me to bless them so they can be commissioned to do what they want. People like that do not go far. They might have a big following in the beginning, but at the end I will take them down, says the Lord.”
1 Kings 3:9-12 Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between right and wrong. For who by himself is able to govern this great people of yours? The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for wisdom. So God replied, “Because you have asked for wisdom in governing My people with justice and have not asked for a long life or wealth or the death of your enemies-I will give you what you asked for! I will give you a wise and understanding heart such as no one has had or ever will have!”
